Wedding Workings: Directed

As guests entered the reception for my sisters wedding, we wanted a way to direct them through the correct doors. We had seen many wedding arrows across the internet, but wanted something a bit more custom and different. I simply used the same design idea as the invitation (using the Rhonna Swirls again), but this time I added a monogram and their wedding date.

I printed this out, cut it to size, and mod podged it onto a plaque that I painted white and slightly distressed. I drilled holes in the top of the plaque and ran ribbon through the holes to hang from a pole. (I forgot to take a picture of the completed project, but once I get one, I'll be sure to post it.) This was a quick and easy way to direct the guests.

(Update:  I used Trajan Pro for the caps font, Beautiful ES for the script font. There is also a Beautiful Caps ES which I used to create swash capitals at the beginning of words- like the script of the bride and groom's names on the invitation.)

  1. What is the font that you used to write Hill? I love it!

  2. It's called Beautiful ES. There is also a Beautiful Caps ES that allows you to do a fancy drop cap first letter with the regular Beautiful ES as the rest of the word. (see the invitation bride and groom names to see what I'm talking about.) If I can remember where I found the fonts I'll add an update.
