Trial Shop

So I have recently been thinking about opening a trial shop... wondering what I mean? Well I have a few items that I've made but never gave them away or sold them, so they are sitting idle in a big chest in the closet. So I have created a "shop" as just a blogger site and will be launching it soon. I hope to be able to add a few fun items to it in addition to the already made items. This is an effort to contribute to Spring Cleaning/Early Nesting for babe #2.

So what I'm wondering and needing feedback on is if you think this is a good idea. Either way I will open the site, as it won't cost a penny and will be no loss to me either way, but please feel free to give any advice, suggestions, or encouragement ;)

I think it's a great idea -- especially if you don't have a lot of items to sell. The only problem I had when I was using my blog to sell items was the transfer of money. Out of all my sales I only had a problem once ($100 worth of product). She eventually ended up paying, but two months later. It was a "process" collecting it, to say the least. I opened my Etsy shop so I would get paid through PayPal and not worry about that part of the business. Good luck!

Oh, I forgot... The way you could get around the problem I had was to wait to ship the item until you received payment. Obviously... ;o)

You can open a basic account with www.artfire.com and not have to pay a thing. You can have payments got through Paypal and solve the payment issue.

Carrie- I'll have to look into the ArtFire thing, as I don't like having to pay the listing fee if I don't sell an item.

Suzanne- I have already decided that my shop policy will be that I won't ship and item until after receipt of payment, so I don't have to worry about that (hopefully).
