I Love Packages!

My grandmother sent this package home from college with my sisters. It was stuffed with stuff to be sold for pennies at my great aunt's estate sale. Instead I was the lucky recipient of all of these treasures:There was tons of trim: ric-rak, bias tape, ribbon, lace, ruffled eyelet... the list goes on.

The bottom of the box was filled with thread. The best part is that a majority are on wooden spools- I just love those little wooden spools!

"Vintage" Trims

My mom recently returned from a trip out to CA to clean out her aunt's old home. My great aunt was big into sewing and had lots of fun things left in the home. Here are some of the fun trims (I love ric-rac for kids) & notions that my mom brought home for me. I'm thinking of making something for K out of them. Then she can have a keepsake made from her great-great-aunt's supplies. Such fun and colorful ric-rac!
