Unforgotten

Ironically, I forgot to post about this project that was created to let K know that she wasn't forgotten. It was created to make big sister feel special when little brother came into this family. This bag was filled with lots of goodies to keep K busy and let her know how much we all still love and care about her. There were stickers, a coloring book and crayons, a big Big Sister book, a picture book of all the people in her family who love her, and a few other goodies. Though it's nearly the size of her, K loves to carry it around and even puts her dollies in it.

I cut the letters out of scraps of fabric, heat-n-bonded them on, then zig-zag stitched around them. Then I hand embroidered "I'm the Original" on it. It's simple and cute and made K really excited!

Framed

I made this frame for my bubs a while back, but was waiting to get pictures printed before I posted about it. I got about a bazillion cute pictures of him printed this afternoon, so now you get to see how the frame (and picture) turned out. I LOVE it. It hangs about his crib and one day I will not be too scared to let him sleep in a different room from me... then he too can appreciate my efforts, and his precious good looks!

Let's Play

When we have a house, I want to have a fun little playroom for the kids. Here are two (of many many) things that would be so fun to have in it.
A craft table, complete with paper roll. Can you imagine having tons and tons of paper at your fingertips to paint, color, and make messes on?! This one is from PB Kids, but there are lots of options out there for children's craft tables. Love them! One of these little desks would be fun too. Aren't they a cute mini version of a grown-up's desk. These desks are now on sale at PB Kids for $150

Blog Buttons

For those who don't know... I'm a little obsessed with digital scrapbooking. I don't use the programs to actually scrapbook, but rather to embellish my blogs. I love to create headers and labels, as well as buttons. Here is a button I created for my personal blog. If anyone would like to add it to their blog, feel free. Just click on the "Freebies & Tutorials" link on my sidebar and it will send you to the page where my freebies are located.

As I play around, I will be adding more free buttons for your own personal use, so check that page for updates! Enjoy!

I'm Back!

I didn't realize that it had been so long since I posted. 4 whole weeks! If you didn't already know, we had the baby and he is almost a month old already! I've packed my sewing machine away for the time being, but have actually pulled it out once since being on "maternity break." Although I am taking time off from sewing, I have managed to wrap up one little project. Here is another matching shirt set for my kiddos. I made big sister's shirt before baby was born and then just stenciled his name once we picked it- nothing extensive to do after baby was born. I'll have to post of pic once I get one of them wearing these cutesy shirts!I'll be posting a picture of the one sewing project I've done in the last four weeks as soon as I deliver it! (Them hopefully I can finish a friend's baby shower gift... whose shower was WEEKS ago!)
